WEEK + DAY: week 21 day 0
WEIGHT GAIN: 10 pounds total. officially at my pre-Imago weight & feeling great!
SYMPTOMS: my sciatica & lower back pain is still there but i'm learning what triggers it...weird things like napping on our long couch is a no-go. not sure if it's the season or pregnancy or both but my skin is so itchy!
FOOD CRAVINGS: we've been really good the past two weeks, meal prepping but giving into indulges over the weekend. i'm feeling really good & am SO READY for maui next week!
FOOD AVERSIONS: none at the moment.
EXERCISE: still keeping it up! taking it easy with an incline speed walk on the treadmill for 30-35 min followed by weights. been targeting lower body with squats & lunges & upper body with bicep curls & chest press thanks to the cable machine. still haven't used the prenatal yoga dvd.
NEW DISCOVERY: given what i wrote on my last update...we are having a boy!!! now time to finalize a name.
LESSONS LEARNED: there are days where i feel our baby, days where i don't. really learning that it's still soon to have consistent movement & kicking (28 weeks is really when the party starts!) so i've decided not to overthink the nights i feel little movement...i know he's still there!
FAVORITE BABY PURCHASES: these two books from lucy darling: (1) baby's first year and (2) all aboard california. so adorable, can't wait to use them! (see below)
FAVORITE MAMA PURCHASES: clothes for fall! i'm so excited to bring out the boots, vests & scarves. got pretty lucky at H&M with their Mama Skinny Jeans (in the photo above). had to purchase two sizes up from my normal size but they have real pockets in the back & a button...they make me feel normal! (see below)
