WEEK + DAY: week 14 day 0
WEIGHT GAIN: not 100% sure. my first prenatal appointment they weighed me in at 118. I'm at 121 now, so 3 pounds per the doctor. I was about 114-116 pounds while training so makes sense that i lost some muscle & put on some needed love :)
SYMPTOMS: nausea has finally subsided! It was kicking STRONG weeks 6-11, but I'm feeling so much better. I'm still exhausted, & if I don't nap I get dizzying headaches...& moody ;) definitely feeling some stretching & tugging as this little one grows.
FOOD CRAVINGS: gimme the salty (like waffle-cut fries) or sour (like homemade lemonade) stuff.
FOOD AVERSIONS: chicken breast. no idea why!
EXERCISE: I now finally have energy to do some light weight lifting & laps! it's been incredibly hard to go for 2 hours a day, 6 days a week of exercise through my Imago training to almost nothing the past 6 weeks. luckily now I'm feel well enough to walk about 2-3 miles 3-4x a week, while doing some arms & leg toning at home.
NEW DISCOVERY: canmommyeat.com ...actually i found this at about 5 weeks but have been using it ever since. helpful in knowing what is safe to eat or not while preggo.
LESSONS LEARNED: the joy of telling friends you're expecting is amazing. tips to those who have a feeling their friends are preggo...don't spoil it! let them tell you first. will always remember this when i have a hunch because it's such a precious moment for that couple.
FAVORITE BABY PURCHASES: finally committed & bought the babyletto crib I've wanted! looking forward to slowly piecing this nursery together.
