BABY FIRSTS: SPOON FEEDING

eliott's appetite has skyrocketed. we've moved from 4oz bottles to 8oz & still feel like he isn't satisfied. anytime clint or i am eating, eliott immediately shows interest & starts reaching for our food. our pediatrician gave us the greenlight to slowly start incorporating rice cereal. we finally mixed the rice cereal consistency thick enough to feed with a spoon...great success! he loved it. not just the cereal, but the whole experience.
highchair. this was the first time we used his highchair & so far, we love the joovy! im a fan of light, portable items, & this collapses for easy travel & storage. the tray has a removable plastic overlay for easy cleaning & the leatherette chair has a five-point harness.

spoon. debating whether or not to admit i spent 10 minutes researching spoons...i sure did. i liked the idea of the numnum "training spoon". it has two levels - one for thinner purees, the other for thicker. & of course, i love a product with a nice design.

bib. once eliott started drooling three months back, i ordered these bibdanas from matimati. they're soft, cover a good amount of surface area & have such cute designs. these suffice for now, but will look into silicone bibs once the purees start.

cereal. nothing fancy here! just an oldie but goodie gerber rice cereal :) but i am curious to hear any other recommendations.

bowl. well, we haven't received this yet so i used a regular clear bowl but this boon one will definitely come in handy soon. it has a food catcher & suction cup bottom.
